RapidDial for Android is a dialer and contact searching application designed to enable dialing with your left thumb (even if you're right handed) while you're drinking a beer with your right.
It provides a small keyboard for you to peck at, but it isn't picky about where you press it. All of the keys in the general vincinity of where you touch the screen are selected and narrow down the displayed list of contacts. If you're particularly fat fingered, you can tune RapidDial to be as forgiving as you like.
The initial display can be all of your contacts who have phone numbers, your favorite contacts, or the contacts who are at the top of your call log. Pictures can be shown, and you can make touching the name open the contact or send them a text if you'd rather.
